In Taiwan's raised floor market, there are mainly four different types of raised floors based on the difference in materials, which have different functions and mechanical properties to meet the needs of different places. Similarly, as an important performance of raised floors, the load of each raised floor is also strictly required to be tested under the specifications of its national standard CNS10678-according to the types of raised floors submitted for testing such as type 300, 500, 700, and 1000, apply pressures of 300 kg, 500 kg, 700 kg, and 1000 kg respectively, and place a scale meter at the bottom of the floor to ensure that the floor deformation does not exceed the standard. In fact, the production standards for raised floors in Taiwan have followed the market norms for raised floor products in the Japanese market. Taiwan Raised Floor System Performance Specification (refer to CNS10678 A2171 standard)

  • (1) Raised floor panel: concentrated load—the panel is at the center point of the panel surface under the concentrated load of 300kgf/6.45 cm

  • The deflection value should be less than 2mm. And the breaking strength—the breaking strength at the center of the panel should be greater than 900kgf/6.45 cm.

  • (2) Raised floor pedestal: The pedestal group must adopt a rust-proof iron pedestal structure combination method. The axial compressive strength of the pedestal should be able to withstand a load of 3000kgf of destructive strength without damage.

  • (3) Raised access floor seismic truss stringer: the seismic beam system and the top of the base are fixed by screws to form a seismic structure, and it must comply with the central bending test of CNS10678 A2171. The yield load must be greater than 300kgf.

  • (4) Surface covering: specification for PVC wear-resistant floor tiles: the size is 600×600×2 ㎜ / The tolerance of the thickness of the surface material (H.P.L) high-pressure laminated panel is ±0.05, according to the CNS 11366 and 11367 tests, the surface abrasion resistance: 8850 times or more.

  • (5) The wear-resistant layer needs to have a super transparent wear-resistant layer, which can be wear-resistant and anti-fouling

  • (6) The application of the base material layer should prevent the raised floor tiles from warping and reduce the shrinkage ratio, and the floor tiles should be attached to the panel and fully glued to the panel.

Taiwan Raised Floor System Mechanical Properties (Load Capacity)

Must meet the following test standards:

  • (1) Impact resistance: impact test with 75kg sand bag from 0.5m height.

  • (2) Heavy hit resistance: a heavy hit test with a 0.5kg heavy hammer steel ball falling naturally from a height of 1 meter.

  • (3) Endurance load: load 80kg repeated 1 million times, and load 200kg repeated 500,000 times
