Why Next Level Data Center Raised Access Floor?

While cooling is an essential factor and an advantage of having a next level data center raised access floor, it also is used for quite a few reasons 3; of them are as follows:

  • Space management: sufficient space to place the quantity of power and communication cable needed to aid the data center workflow.

  • Cost-effective: Raised access flooring in data centers offers cost-saving with OpEx and CapEx in the long run. It is true that during the construction, having a raised floor does cost more, but it is an investment that reduces the operational cost.

  • Cable and Server Management: With the kind of environment it is built-in, which can support particular racks for the mounted server, the cables' management is better when there are higher heat densities. It also allows the IT staff to control and maintain the server easily.

  • Data center raised access floors offer a wide range of benefits that help with the center's optimal operation, which allows the company to provide the best service to their clients. Hence most data centers opt for raised flooring for the advantages it offers.

*All tests are performed using CISCA's Recommended Test Procedures for Access Floors with the exception of Design Load

1.System Design Load is based on permanent set ≤ 0.010” and is verified by loading panels in accordance with the CISCA concentrated load method but with panels installed on actual understructure instead of steel blocks. (Testing on blocks does not represent performance of an actual installation.) Ultimate, Rolling, and Impact Load tests are performed using CISCA Test Procedures.

2. Safety Factor is Ultimate Load divided by Design Load.
